ANTHONY ROMAN AWARD – Honours an individual who is a community leader and who has been successful in their own business, has helped others to succeed, and has taken a very active part in contributing to the Markham community.
BUSINESS EMPLOYER OF EXCELLENCE – Awarded to a company that invests in their employees and provides a culture that nurtures, recognizes and rewards excellence and highlights diversity and inclusion.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS & CULTURAL ENRICHMENT – This award recognizes a company that has made an exceptional contribution to community building and to enriching Markham’s cultural, creative and artistic vibrancy and livability.
DONALD COUSENS CONSERVATION & ENVIRONMENTAL LEADERSHIP AWARD – Presented to a company that is either a leader in environmental conservation or has modified their business model to be environmentally friendly by including green initiatives to their business practices.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP – Honours an individual or company which has demonstrated extraordinary and significant entrepreneurial success in growing a business.
FOOD SERVICE AND HOSPITALITY – This award recognizes companies that excel in customer service, innovation and creativity in the catering, hotel, restaurant and conference facility areas.
GLOBAL BUSINESS EXCELLENCE – Celebrates companies that have achieved business success in international logistics or exporting products and/or services outside of Canada.
HIGH QUALITY & SERVICE – Recognizes a company that provides exceptional quality and service to their customers.
INNOVATION – Honouring a company that fosters a culture of innovation in technology, manufacturing or marketing.
WOMEN LED BUSINESS – Recognizing a company that has achieved business success, and is led and/or owned by a woman or a group of women.
